Complex regional pain syndrome

Let's explain CRPS.

CRPS, often following a limb injury, is a complex condition with symptoms that can vary in intensity. The damaged nerve fibres cause a painful burning sensation that radiates outwards from the point of trauma. This neurological pain can persist for many months after the original cause has been resolved. The symptoms , including burning sensations, can be disproportionate to the severity of the original injury. The affected area can become extremely sensitive, to the point where even the weight of clothing can cause severe discomfort.

Are there other options?

With its general success in pain remediation, the OSKA Pulse PEMF device is now being combined with other modalities. For individuals with CRPS, who may be sensitive to touch, the non-invasive nature of OSKA, which does not have to be placed directly on the body, provides a comfortable and reassuring medical option. The device's effective range extends up to 30 cms / 12 inches. Positive benefits, as suggested by anecdotal data, are most likely due to decreased inflammation and a quicker natural healing process.
